The restaurant Pic Nature enters through large bay windows, amplified by mirrors playing off each other, in this contemporary space that mixes styles and reinterprets objects from the past: walls in precious Macassar wood, a silver alcove painted with cherry blossoms, contemporary tables and family chests of drawers in the Louis XV style, fur cushions and the carpet with a topographical design…. Acting as a pause sign where paths cross in the dining room, a chandelier asserts the room’s femininity, its light softened by two glass leaves. Transparent pinks and beiges, dark brown introduce us to harmonies of today, while the play of different textures — velvety, smooth, satiny, soft — encourages us to relax in this very personal and elegant world.

The space has been entirely remodelled to become a showcase for the cooking of Anne-Sophie Pic, who has put her stamp on the family restaurant and organised it into three distinct spaces:
a dining room with round tables to preserve the intimacy of the meal, a second room in which large sofas in front of square tables create a feeling of togetherness, and finally a rotunda lined in padded tea pink satin, which accentuates the hushed sensation created by the subtle lighting. The lights are modulated for a constant sensation of well being and are oriented towards the centre of the tables, thus concentrating the attention on the conversation and… the plates.

All of this differentiation and unification of space conceived by Bruno Borrione and allying simplicity and sophistication transports, soothes, and creates a sensation of entering another world, a goal of this place and its cuisine. Anne-Sophie Pic has also made some major changes to the service, which now relies on trays that are carried by maître d’hs who circulate freely around the room.

On the trays are plates under transparent cloches that play on the steamy, lightly
cloudy effect of a well-tempered heat. The plates grow rounder, take on volume and approach the face to better captivate the senses: scents, colours, textures, compositions reveal themselves. Crystal glasses reflect the light, eyes sparkle, the meal is a celebration.

Anne-Sophie Pic thus puts her name to this place, this hotel and restaurant that knew her father and grandfather, all of them exceptional cooks as each generation has obtained three Michelin stars. She signs, defines and appropriates the space, taking charge of its elegance and functionality. She is finally among her own furniture, her colours, her aspirations and her taste to fulfil all those who come to taste her cooking. All of this came to be thanks to her partnership with decorator Bruno Borrione, with whom Anne-Sophie Pic has worked for a long time since the rooms and the salons have already been entirely redesigned and conceived to reflect the chef’s dreamlike imagination.
